Maren Gaul, DO

Triple Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Dermatology, and Mohs Surgery

After earning her BA from Saint Olaf College, Dr. Gaul volunteered with AmeriCorps at a community health center, where she confirmed her calling to medicine. She went on to attend ATSU–SOMA, maintaining strong ties to community health centers while earning her doctorate in osteopathic medicine.

Between her first and second years of medical school, she identified a melanoma on her father during a visit home—an experience he proudly credits with saving his life and one that affirmed the purpose of her long and meaningful career path.

Dr. Gaul completed a dual residency in Internal Medicine and Dermatology through Ohio University, training alongside a diverse and collaborative group of dermatologists in the Cleveland–Akron area. She is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology in Mohs Surgery and has been performing Mohs surgery since 2018 in Alaska and South Dakota.

She finds the greatest purpose and privilege in connecting with patients and removing skin cancers. Dr. Gaul looks forward to leading a private practice alongside a team of collaborative caregivers committed to connection, growth, and excellence each day.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, skiing, and attempting tennis and golf. She is currently learning piano alongside her three children, while her husband graciously tolerates the noise.
